This week, AT&T filed a WARN notification with the Michigan Office of Workforce Development. According to that notification, the Michigan Bell Telephone Company has developed plans to permanently close its Detroit Credit & Collections Center. The facility is located at 105 East Bethune Street in Detroit. It is expected to close on or around March 28, 2018. Not all operations at the location will shut down.

As a result of the impending closure, 114 non-management employees are expected to lose their jobs on or around March 28, 2018. Any bumping rights would be governed by the collective bargaining agreement between AT&T Midwest and the Communications Workers of America. The CWA union represents the impacted bargained for employees.
