Today, Bright Health announced plans to expand its consumer-driven services to the city of Phoenix, Arizona. The healthcare company has already filed with the federal government so they can offer Medicare Advantage plans to Maricopa county during the fall’s enrollment period for the 2018 plan year. Bright Health is working closely with Arizona Care Network to create a Care Partnership within the Phoenix market. Bright Health has developed a unique healthcare model, which attempts to put the patient in the spotlight.
The model is designed to encourage additional collaboration between the physician and the health insurance provider. Arizona will become Bright Health’s second market. They first entered Colorado for the 2017 plan year. The company offers their plans directly to consumers through brokers and insurance exchanges. Bright Health has confirmed that additional markets, Medicare Advantage Plans and Care Partnerships are in the works for the upcoming year and well beyond.
