This month, Ohio has received WARN notifications from several companies, including Sodexo and Zenith Education Group. On November 15, 2017, the State received two more WARN notices from two other companies. CGI Federal Inc. filed a WARN notice with the Ohio Office of Workforce Development. The company confirmed that the workforce needs at its Cleveland, Ohio facility had changed.

As a result, the company will soon be carrying out layoffs at its 1001 Lakeside Avenue facility. The layoffs are expected to begin on January 8, 2017 and they will be permanent. In total, 64 workers will be impacted by the move. None of the workers are represented by a union and the workers do not have bumping rights. 33 of the workers are customer service representatives, while 11 are senior consultants.

CGI Federal’s full WARN notification can be found here. On the same day, Ohio’s Office of Workforce Development received another WARN notice from Quad/Graphics. Quad/Graphics, which is based out of Sussex, Wisconsin, is a printing company. The company was founded in July of 1971. According to the company’s WARN notice, it will soon be shutting down its Columbus facility and laying off all employees at the facility.

The closure and layoffs are expected to be permanent. The employment separations are expected to commence on or around December 8, 2017. In total, Quad/Graphics believes that 116 workers will be impacted by the upcoming closure. The WARN notice can be accessed here.
