On February 2, 2018, the Missouri Department of Economic Development received a WARN notification from Cognosante LLC. According to that letter, Cognosante is a subcontractor to Serco Inc. in providing operations support to the Centers of Medicare & Medicaid Services. Serco will no longer be performing support work for the CMS at its Wentzville, Missouri facility. As a result, the Serco work site in Wentzville will permanently close no later than June 30.

As a result, Cognosante plans to permanently terminate all staff at the Wentzville location. The facility is located at 100 Mall Parkway Suite 100. The layoffs are expected to be completed by June 30, 2018. The letter explains that the terminations will begin around April 6, 2018. The layoffs are expected to be permanent. None of the workers are represented by a labor union and none have bumping rights.
