Conagra (NYSE: CAG) is a food manufacturer, which owns and operates many popular brands. The company owns Hunts, Healthy Choice, Marie Callender’s, and Orville Redenbacher’s. On January 4, 2018, the company submitted a WARN notification with the Missouri Department of Economic Development. According to that letter, the company will soon be permanently closing its facility located in Trenton, Missouri. The facility is located at 1401 Harris Avenue.

In the letter, the company explains that the closure will improve efficiencies and effectiveness and eliminate redundancies within its supply chain. As a result of the impending closure, all employees at the facility are expected to be laid off permanently. The company anticipates that the closure will happen on May 31, 2018 or within fourteen days. The employee separations will take place in phases starting on March 9, 2018 and ending on May 31, 2018.

In total, 252 production and production support staff members will lose their jobs. An additional 30 management and administrative employees will be laid off. In total, the closure will lead to 282 layoffs. The full WARN notification is available here.
