On August 25, 2017, Demag Cranes & Components Corp. submitted a WARN notification to the Ohio Office of Workforce Development. According to the WARN notification, Terex MHPS Corp. or Demag Cranes & Components Corp. announced it would be permanently shutting down its Solon, Ohio facility. The facility is located at 29201 Aurora Road in Solon. All of the employees at the facility will be laid off and the layoffs are expected to be permanent.

Demag expects the layoffs to begin no earlier than October 20, 2017 and be completed by March 31, 2018. In total, it is expected that 86 individuals will be affected by the layoffs. Most of the employees are represented by Teamsters Union Local 293. Bumping rights will be negotiated between the company and the union. Non-union employees have no bumping or transfer rights.

Earlier this month, dlhBowles announced it would be laying off 94 workers in Carrollton.
