DHL Supply Chain Plans For Layoffs In Lima, Ohio

DHL Supply Chain is owned by Deutsche Post DHL and it is affiliated with DHL Express. The company is headquartered in Bonn, Deutsche. This week, the Ohio Office of Workforce Development received a WARN notification from DHL Supply Chain. According to that letter, the company will soon be carrying out layoffs at its Lima, Ohio facility. The facility is located at 635 North Cool Road in Lima, Ohio. The plant is expected to close permanently.

The first employee separations are expected to take place on March 12, 2018 with the plant closing on the same day. The impacted workers do not have bumping rights. Dislocated worker assistance may be available to some workers through the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. In total, the plant closure is expected to lead to approximately 229 workers losing their jobs.
