This week, Dollar General (NYSE: DG) leapt to a new milestone as it opened its 14,000th location. Hundreds of excited customers traveled to the new Dauphin, Pennsylvania location to celebration the occasion. The celebrations kicked off at 8 AM with comments from Dollar General representatives. Then, the Dollar General Literacy Foundation presented a $14,000 check to the Middle Paxton Elementary School.

Store manager Mark Cortina finally cut the ribbon and the eager customers flooded the store. The first two hundred customers received $10 gift cards and tote bags with samples. Customers also received free coffee and donuts in the morning. In the afternoon, customers received a hotdog lunch with chips, drinks, and Clover Valley private brand samples.

The company sells high-quality name and private brand merchandise. America’s most trusted brands, such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi Co, Hanes, General Mills, and Kimberly-Clark, are available at DG stores. Dollar General currently employs around 5,700 employees throughout the state of Pennsylvania with 625 stores in the state and a distribution center.
