This week, two companies submitted WARN notifications with the state of Ohio. The first letter was submitted by FCA Transport LLC on October 25, 2017. The letter from FCA Transport confirmed that the company would be permanently closing its Toledo Terminal on February 28, 2018. The facility is located at 5925 Hangman Road in Toledo, Ohio.

The company anticipates that the employee separations will be carried out in four waves starting on January 2, 2018 and ending on February 28, 2018. The entire facility will be shut down and the closure will be permanent. Employees represented by the UAW Local 12 union will have bumping rights. On October 26, 2017, American Signature Inc. submitted a WARN notification with the Ohio Office of Workforce Development. The privately-owned furniture company is based out of Columbus, Ohio. According to the WARN notification, American Signature will be reducing the workforce at its Columbus, Ohio facility.

The company believes that 13 workers at the 1780 Morse Road facility will be impacted. The layoffs are expected to be completed on December 2, 2017. The full WARN notification can be found here.
