On March the 6th, Fitbit (NYSE: FIT) introduced their new Alta HR fitness wristband to the public. The Fitbit Alta HR becomes the world’s slimmest fitness wristband currently on the market. On top of this, the device also offers numerous functions to help users track more statistics than ever before. This includes improvements to the company’s sleeping tracking technology. Users will be provided with actionable insights and guidance directly through the Fitbit app. In return, consumers will be provided with the information needed to make better health decisions, so they can remain motivated and finally reach their wellness goals.

Despite being the world’s slimmest fitness wristband, the Fitbit Alta HR delivers continuous heart rate tracking. The device also delivers the benefits provided by the PurePulse heart rate technology and automatic exercise recognition. Also, the Alta HR provides consumers with up to 7 days of use on a single charge. Presales for the Alta HR will begin today, while the product is expected to be made available in retail establishments in April. Also, the Fitbit Alta HR provides the user with an abundance of sleep tracking features.

The device is equipped with a unique Sleep Stages feature, which is capable of determining time spent in light, deep and REM sleep. The product also detects the amount of time the consumer remains awake each night. Then, users will be able to use the Fitbit App to access the Sleep Insights feature. This will provide the user with personalized advice for improving their sleep and bettering their overall health. The company is also happy to announce that the Fitbit Alta HR will also feature PurePulse. The device is sleek and compact, yet still capable of providing continuous heart rate tracking.

With consistent heart rate tracking, the consumer will be able to determine precisely how many calories they’ve burned each day. They can also analyze their resting heart rate. By providing users with access to real-time statistics, reminders and regular notifications, the Fitbit Alta HR will be able to maximize the user’s motivation. For additional inspiration, Fitbit Alta HR users will be able to access the Fitbit Community directly through the Fitbit app. This will allow them to communicate with others, find support, and obtain the inspiration needed to continue moving forward.

The Fitbit Alta HR will be available for presale starting today. The product will cost $149.95. The Alta HR will be made available online and in stores all around the world starting in early April 2017. In North America, consumers will be able to find the device at Best Buy, Amazon, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Target, Verizon, and other retailers.
