On May the 2nd, Force Protection Video (OTCQB: FPVDD) unveiled its brand-new body camera and evidence software package, which aims to cut the costs for police departments of all sizes. The company, which primarily manufacturers HD body cameras and accessories for police officers, has revealed the contents of its Force Pro Package I. The package comes with an LE50 32GB camera, the Veripic Evidence Storage Locker software and unlimited tech support. The hardware is protected by a 3-year warranty. The package, which is compatible with in-house and Cloud storage, is available for just $18 a month with a 3-year contract.

Lengthy contracts and high hardware costs can make it very difficult for municipalities to incorporate body camera programs into their law enforcement agencies. Force Protection Video believes their Force Pro 1 package is the perfect solution at the right place. In fact, Paul Feldman with Force Protection has confirmed the company has already received more than 100 orders for the Fore Pro 1 system. The LE50 Body Camera features a handful of features that make it ideal for law enforcement applications.

For instance, the camera delivers recording times that lead the industry. In total, the camera can record 12 hours of footage. The battery runs for 50 hours when it is placed in standby mode. Each camera is equipped with 32GB of internal, tamperproof storage. The camera also offers audio announcements, GPS record, and 30 seconds of pre and post record. The hardware is compatible with the VeriPic Evidence Management Software. To avoid the problems associated with IR lighting, the LE50 relies on white diode lighting. The company believes this will reduce the potential for eye damage.

Force Protection Video’s LE10 and LE50 cameras utilize Ambarella chips, which make it possible for them to record HD video footage. The same chip supplier works closely with GoPro. Additional information about Force Protection Video’s new package for law enforcement can be found here.
