On Monday, it was announced that a former IRS revenue agent had been sentenced to prison for distributing methamphetamine. 43-year-old David Lon Rose of Boise, Idaho was sentenced to two years in prison and four years of supervised release. Rose pleaded guilty to the charge on September 18, 2017. Court records show that Rose distributed 37 grams of pure methamphetamine to a confidential informant on two occasions in December of 2016.

The investigation into Rose and his methamphetamine dealing was initiated in May of 2016. Rose resigned from his position with the Internal Revenue Service in June of 2016. The case was the result of a cooperative investigation by the FBI, the Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force and the Boise Police Department.
