Fram Group is a leading provide of replacement automobile parts. The company is best known for its filters and spark plugs. Fram Group operates through a global network of manufacturing facilities, offices and distribution centers located throughout the United States, Mexico, Canada, China and Europe. On November 28, 2017, Fram Group Operations submitted a WARN notification with the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services.

According to that notification, Fram Group Operations has decided to permanently close its Autolite Spark Plug Plant in Fostoria, Ohio. The facility is located at 1600 North Union Street. The company believes that the closure will begin to occur on or around January 31, 2018. The entire plant is expected to close and the closing is expected to be permanent.

In total, the closure is expected to lead to 62 positions being eliminated. Some of the workers are represented by the United Automobile Workers of America UAW Local 533. Non-union workers will not have bumping rights. The full WARN notification can be found here.
