Today, Frontier Communications (NASDAQ: FTR) announced the opening of its first retail store in South California. The brand new Frontier Premier stores will give current and future Frontier customers the opportunity to speak with a customer representative, while learning about the company’s residential services. Frontier Premier stores are now located in the cities of Pomona and Norwalk. The stores will allow Frontier to expand their presence in the region and ensure customers receive optimum personal interaction.

When venturing to one of the Frontier Premiere stores, consumers will be able to experience interactive demos, watch Frontier television on HD TVs and speak with a member of Frontier’s expert staff. Consumers will learn about their choices, while being given the opportunity to signup for one or more of Frontier’s services for their home, office or business. Frontier is known for providing high-quality television, high-speed Internet, and reliable phone services at minimum costs.

Visitors will also be able to learn about Frontier’s business solutions, such as commercial telephone systems. Each store will also have home phones and tablets on hand. Members of the Norwalk community are invited to the store’s official grand opening on October the 12th. The Pomona store will host its grand opening celebration on October the 13th. The ceremony will begin at 10am and end at 3pm. After the ribbon-cutting has concluded, attendees will be able to partake in refreshments and enter giveaways.

Each store will feature three drawings with the winner receiving a $100 VISA gift card. Frontier Communications Corporation is a Fortune 500 Company, which currently offers home and business telephone, television, and Internet services in 29 states. Addresses for the Frontier Premier stores can be found below.

  • 12351 Imperial Highway Norwalk, California 90650
  • 280 South Locust Street Pomona, California 91766

Once the opening ceremonies have ended, the retail stores will begin operating on regular hours. From Monday to Friday, the stores will be open from 10am to 6pm. On Saturday, consumers can visit the establishments from 10am to 4pm. Both stories will be closed on Sundays. The stores will implement a no-cash-transaction policy and will not accept equipment, exchanges, or offer bill paying services.

The opening of the two stores is yet another way Frontier is attempting to expand their customer base, after the recent acquisition of Verizon customers. In a time when more and more consumers are cutting the cable, Frontier and other cable providers will need to implement innovative strategies to capture a portion of the dwindling customer base. Frontier’s move into California has played out over the past few months and their stores could prove to be very helpful. Additional information can be found by visiting Frontier’s press release.
