Gannett is a publicly traded American company based out of Tysons Corner, Virginia. The company is the largest newspaper publisher in the United States. Gannett is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker GCI. On February 13, 2018, Gannett filed a WARN notification with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development. According to that notification, the company will soon be shutting down its entire product facility in Appleton, Wisconsin.

The facility is located at 3500 North Executive Drive. The closure will result in employment separations of employees working at the site. Those separations are expected to be permanent. The company believes that 137 workers will be affected by the closure. The terminations are expected to occur on May 1, 2018 or sometime during the 14-day period starting on that date.
