While the collaboration may seem unlikely, HGTV and Glu Mobile have teamed up to launch the brand new gaming platform, Design Home. Interior designers and gamers will be enamored by the unique experience of being able to design their own digital homes. Thanks to partnerships with some of the top furniture and décor brands in the world, Design Home will give users the ability to decorate their virtual homes with an array of luxury accessories and furniture. The brands available include Serena & Lily, Taylor Burke Home, and Design Within Reach.
Users will have the freedom to fill their 3D space with life-like furniture and décor. The games plays heavily on the community atmosphere, by allowing other virtual designers to critique the gamer’s work. Users can decorate a variety of different room types, including dining, living, and bed rooms. Alternatively, they can head outside and spruce up an outdoor space. With over three-thousand furniture and décor items to choose from, players will never run out of possibilities.
To keep gamers engaged, they’ll be invited to complete daily challenges. Glu Mobile (NASDAQ: GLUU) has teamed up for the home design oriented network HGTV for the launch of Design Home. As the exclusive media partner of Design Home, HGTV will create and host their own exclusive challenges every three days. The challenges will be inspired by some of the network’s most popular shows and will be familiar to many consumers. Design Home was created by Crowdstar, which was recently acquired by Glu Mobile.
The Design Home game is now available on the App Store and Google Play. At this point in time, Design Home has received 6,235 reviews on Google Play. It currently holds a 4.3 out of 5 stars and has received over 5,000 4 to 5 star reviews. On the App Store, the game has amassed 1,308 reviews and maintains a 4 star rating at this point. Those that desire to become an interior designer without leaving their couch are advised to check out Design Home right away.
