On September 6, 2017, Mega Marts LLC submitted a WARN Notification to Wisconsin’s Department of Workforce Development. In that notification, the company announced that it would soon be shutting down its Pick ‘n Save retail store located at 1717 Center Avenue in Janesville, Wisconsin.

The entire facility will be permanently closed on or after November 4, 2017. At this point in time, all of the store’s employees will be released. In total, 71 employees are expected to be impacted by the closure. The company has confirmed that some of the affected employees would be offered employment opportunities at other stores.

Bargaining unit employees with the store are represented by the United Food & Commercial Workers Union Local 1473. Also this month, Jackson National Life Insurance announced it would be laying off 11 workers in the state of Wisconsin.
