This week, Wisconsin’s Department of Workforce Development received a WARN notification from Molina Healthcare. The managed care company is based out of Long Beach, California. In 2015, it was estimated that the company served around 3.5 million people through government-based healthcare programs. According to the WARN notification, Molina Healthcare Inc. will soon carry out a workforce reduction in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The letter informed the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development that the company would be carrying out a mass layoff at its 11200 West Parkland Avenue facility. The mass layoff is expected to be permanent. In total, 53 employees will be laid off on December 15, 2017. Employees impacted by the layoff were notified in person or by mail on October 16, 2017.

The employees do not have bumping rights. However, Molina Healthcare has confirmed that it would consider requests for transfers and job reassignments as appropriate. The entire WARN notification can be found here.
