This week, Morgan Stanley announced that more than 200 employees and community volunteers have agreed to build a new playground in Maryland. The playground will be built at the Union Baptist-Harvey Johnson Head Start as a part of the company’s Healthy Cities initiatives. Morgan Stanley has teamed up with KaBOOM! and Harvey Johnson Head Start to give more than 400 children a safe and fun place to play.

The playground’s design is based on a kids’ drawings submitted during a special design event in July of this year. As a part of the Healthy Cities initiative, Morgan Stanley has worked with national and Baltimore non-profits to develop a package of wellness education and screenings, nutritious foods and safe playground spaces for children in underserved neighborhoods in Baltimore.

The company expanded the initiative to Baltimore in October of 2016. It was originally launched in 2014 and has since helped children in Chicago, Newark, Oakland, London, and elsewhere.
