After the expansion, PetSmart now operates 1,542 stores in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. They also run 205 in-store PetsHotel dog and cat boarding facilities. To celebrate their 30th anniversary, PetSmart has launched a the Buy a Bag, Give a Meal initiative to help aid pets in need. The ambitious program is the largest in PetSmart’s lengthy history with a goal of delivering 60 million meals to needy pets.
