This week, Wisconsin’s Department of Workforce Development received WARN notifications from two companies, Ryder and Pioneer Metal Finishing LLC. Pioneer Metal Finishing sent their WARN notice to the Department on September 12, 2017. It was received the following day. According to the notification, the company is planning to permanently close its entire facility at 164 West 28th Avenue in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The closure and the associated layoffs will be permanent.

In total, 52 workers will be terminated as of November 13, 2017. The company will offer ten employees new jobs at the Pioneer Metal Finishing LLC facility at 486 Globe Avenue in Green Bay, Wisconsin. For those that are not offered a relocation, the termination will be permanent. None of the employees were represented by a union and do not have bumping rights.

On September 14, 2017, the Department received another notification from Ryder. The upcoming Ryder layoffs will impact 100 workers within the city of Beaver Dam. Ryder informed the Workforce Development Board that it anticipated closing and ceasing operations at its facility located at 1201 Green Valley Road in Beaver Dam. The closure is expected to be permanent.

The company expects to layoff approximately 100 employees on December 15, 2017. None of the employees have bumping rights.
