During the month of October, Wisconsin received WARN notifications from several companies, including Webcrafters, Spartech Packaging, Molina Healthcare, and U.S. Paper Converters. On October 30, 2017, the State received yet another WARN notice. This time, it was Ryder announcing layoffs in Greenville, Wisconsin.

The company’s WARN notice confirmed that it would soon be shutting down its plant at W6545 Quality Drive Greenville, Wisconsin. The company explains that the plant closure and related layoffs will be permanent. The employee separations are expected to begin on December 31, 2017.

In total, Ryder anticipates that 159 employees will be laid off on that date. The impacted workers do not have bumping rights. The mass majority of impacted workers served as material handlers. The company is also laying off 7 Supervisors for Customer Logistics, and 15 Team Leader Warehouse.
