On October 5, 2017, the Wisconsin Department of Workforce received a WARN notification from Spartech. The company specializes in the manufacture of plastics. According to the WARN notification, a change in business circumstances has led to the decision to close the company’s facility in Ripon, Wisconsin.

The 100 Creative Way facility will be closed permanently. Spartech anticipates that it will begin eliminating positions on December 4, 2017. The layoffs will continue until the facility’s closure is complete on March 30, 2018. In total, the company expects to eliminate roughly 70 jobs. 23 jobs will be lost on December 4. 22 positions will be eliminated on December 18.
