On January the 23rd, it was announced that Third Federal Savings & Loan had teamed up with the Neighborhood Housing Services of Greater Cleveland and other local groups to offer free income tax preparation assistance to locals. The effort also involves the City of Cleveland, Enterprise Community Partners, and the Central Catholic High School, which will serve as the meeting place for the event. Individuals and families that earn less than $53,000 a year will be able to receive free income tax preparation assistance on Saturday February the 4th.

During the event, IRS trained and certified tax prepares will help filers determine whether or not they’re eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit. Those that wish to receive free assistance should visit the Cleveland Central Catholic High School at 6540 Baxter Avenue. The event will take place on February the 4th and it will run from 9 AM to 2 PM. Before that day arrives, it is recommended that would-be participants call 2-1-1 and schedule an appointment. This will also make it possible for participants to know what documents to bring along.

The Third Federal Savings and Loan Association (NASDAQ: TFSL) was founded in Cleveland in 1938. The company is now a leading provider of savings and mortgage products.
