Yesterday, June 09, 2017, Ohio Governor John Kasich and UnitedHealth Group President Dave Wichmann joined local officials to announce seven hundred new jobs coming to Central Ohio. UnitedHealth Group intends to hire for the new positions over the next two years. The new employees will help aid care providers and individuals that are enrolled in the company’s plans. New hires are expected to work out of the company’s Dublin office space, which is currently in the process of being renovated.

The announcement was held at 5900 Parkwood Place in Dublin. Renovations for the 165,000-square-foot facility are expected to be completed by September. Once reopened, the facility will be able to accommodate more than one thousand employees. At this point in time, UnitedHealth Group employs more than 3,500 people in the State of Ohio. 1,500 employees work for Optum, which is the company’s health services business.

UnitedHealthcare currently serves approximately two million people throughout the state. They offer services to those with employer sponsored, Medicaid, and Medicare health plans, with a network consisting of more than 250 hospitals and almost 49,000 physicians and other healthcare professionals. The UnitedHealth Group has made it a top priority to provide military veterans with stable, high-paying jobs. The group strongly encourages military veterans to apply for the positions.
