So far this month, two companies have announced layoffs in Indiana. Del Monte Foods announced the layoff of 107 workers, while Kindred Hospital announced 86 separations. The latest round of layoffs comes from Vance & Hines Performance. On September 19, 2017, the company announced that it would be laying off 70 workers in the city of Brownsburg.

According to the company’s WARN notification, it has made the decision to cease manufacturing operations in Brownsburg, Indiana. Exhaust and handle bar production performed at the plant will be relocated. 70 workers at the 1207 Northfield Drive facility will be impacted. The company insists that the layoffs come after an evaluation of its manufacturing operations and its intention to address the challenges of the rapidly changing industry.

The entire facility will not be shut down, but the separations are still expected to be permanent.
