Vivint Smart Home, the leading smart home services provider in the United States, announced the opening of a new campus in Logan, Utah on June the 13th. The new facility is located on the Utah State University Innovation Campus and will follow in suit with the company’s efforts to expand its talent base in the state. The campus will attract and develop new talent in several key areas, including customer service, product research, product development, and strategic business development.

President of Vivint Smart Home, Alex Dunn, spoke about the move. He said, “As the leading smart home services provider, we are constantly pursuing opportunities for growth and innovation.” He also went on to conclude that the move would allow the business to tap into the talent at the Utah State University community, while also contributing to Utah’s growth as a tech hub.

In total, the building consists of 43,000-square-foot of space. It will hold a maximum of 400 employees and will also house a demo home equipped with Vivint’s latest smart home equipment. The campus will also contain a basketball court, six training rooms and a fitness center. Utah State University president, Noelle Cockett, sees the arrangement as a win-win. The president confirmed, “The center will afford employment opportunities for people in Cache Valley, including USU students.”

Vivint was recently named the number one smart home services provider in America by Strategy Analytics. In 2017, it was included in Fast Company’s list of the “World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies”. The firm’s recent expansion into Utah is an attempt to maintain that status. Additional details and pictures of the facility can be found here.
