On March 2, 2018, Alkar-Rapid Pak Inc. filed a WARN notification with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development. According to that letter, the company will soon be laying off employees at its Lodi, Wisconsin facility. The temporary layoffs have been prompted by the company’s shortage of order intake. The facility is located at 817 North Main Street in Lodi.
The action is expected to result in the possible layoff of 30 employees. The company expects to begin the layoffs on March 8, 2018. Hourly employees are represented by the Iron Workers Local 811 Union. Interplant bumping rights exist. The letter confirms that the company will pay all earned wages and agreed upon benefits at the time of termination.
