Amazon Set To Create 2,000 Full-Time Jobs With New Ohio Fulfillment Center

This week, Amazon announced plans to open a brand-new fulfillment center in North Randall, Ohio. The new 855,000-square-foot facility will create more than 2,000 full-time jobs with benefits. Associates will also be given the opportunity to interact with Amazon Robotics. Amazon currently has two fulfillment centers in Ohio. The facilities in Obetz and Etna employ more than 4,500 full-time associates.

Employees at the new fulfillment center will be responsible for picking, packing and shipping smaller items to consumers. The items will primarily include electronics, toys and books. Full-time employees with Amazon receive competitive pay, disability insurance, health insurance, retirement savings plans, and company stock. All of the benefits start on day one.

Simultaneously, Amazon provides associates with a maximum of 20 weeks of paid leave. Associates can take advantage of Leave Share and Ramp Back, which give new parents the freedom and flexibility to grow their families. Amazon’s Career Choice program helps to train employees for in-demand jobs with Amazon and other companies. To date, more than 10,000 employees have taken advantage of the Career Choice program.
