On September 26, 2017, the State of Washington received a WARN notification from Associated Materials Inc. The company primarily specializes in the manufacture of exterior building products. The company produces a range of exterior building products, including vinyl siding, windows, railing, fencing, and aluminum trim coil. This week, the company announced that it would soon be closing its facility in Bothell, Washington.
Due to the impending closure, the company will also be laying off 87 workers. The layoffs are expected to start on November 27, 2017. The layoffs and closure are expected to be permanent. Earlier this month, Boeing announced it would be laying off 18 workers in the Puget Sound area of Washington.
During the month of August, Boeing announced 74 layoffs and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage Servicing announces the layoff of 72 workers in the state of Washington.
