On Friday, March 16, 2016, it was announced that a woman from Buffalo, New York had been sentenced for misdemeanor bank larceny. 35-year-old Tamika Favors was sentenced to two years of probation and was ordered to pay $8,000 in restitution. In August of 2013, the defendant used a fraudulently obtained Citibank credit card to make purchases totaling more than $8,000.
Favors also had 15 credit cards sent to her home and to nearby address without permission of the true account holders. Those fraudulently obtained credit cards were ultimately used to make unauthorized purchases. The sentencing was the result of an investigation carried out by the United States Postal Inspection Service and the United States Secret Service. Additional details can be found here.
