Closure Of Kentuckiana Medical Center Expected To Result In 269 Employee Layoffs

Galichia Hospital Group has submitted a WARN notice with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development. The letter explains that the Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville, Indiana is expected to permanently close no later than May 1, 2019. As a result, the employment of all hospital employees will end.

The employee terminations are expected to be permanent. The actual closure date is not yet known. Galichia Hospital Group has already notified impacted employees with written notice. The impacted workers are not represented by a union. No bumping rights exist. In total, it is anticipated that 269 workers will be impacted.
