Conduit Global, Walmart and CVS Preparing For Tennessee Layoffs

This week, several companies filed WARN notifications with the Tennessee Department of Workforce Development. The WARN notice alerts state officials that the company will be laying off workers in the near future. On March 4, 2019, CVS Health Corporation filed a WARN notice with the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

The letter explains that the company will be carrying out a permanent closure effective May 3, 2019 through May 17, 2019. The closure of the Nashville, Tennessee facility is expected to result in 250 workers being laid off. The facility is located at 445 Great Circle Road in Nashville. Walmart filed a WARN notice on March 4, 2019. The letter explains that Walmart Store #4167 in Knoxville, Tennessee will be closing permanently on May 10, 2019. The store is located at 2501 University Commons Way. As a result, 161 workers will be laid off. The WARN notice is accessible here.

Conduit Global submitted a WARN notice on March 4, 2019. The company notified the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development that it would be carrying out a permanent layoff effective April 30, 2019. The closure of the Cordova, Tennessee facility will result in 122 layoffs.
