On February 13, 2019, the Ohio Office of Workforce Development received a WARN notification from Park East Center. The letter explains that Harborside of Cleveland Limited Partnership, which is doing business as Park East Center, will be carrying out employee separations with the closing of its Beachwood, Ohio facility.
The facility is located at 3800 Park East Drive in Beachwood. The company anticipates that the entire facility will close on May 14, 2019. As a result, 95 employees will be terminated. Both actions are expected to be permanent. While the majority of the employees are represented by a union, there will be no bumping rights at this location. The full WARN notice is available here.
Also this week, Dillard’s Inc. submitted a WARN notice with the Ohio Office of Workforce Development. The letter explains that the Dillard’s store in South Park Mall in Boardman, Ohio will be shutting down no earlier than April 17, 2019 and no later than May 14, 2019. The mall is located at 7401 Market Street.
The closing and employee layoffs are expected to be permanent. The employees will not have access to bumping rights. The action will result in 123 employees being laid off. The full WARN notice can be found here.
