Energizer Brands Set To Close Distribution Operating Unit And Layoff Workers In Vandalia, Ohio

Energizer Brands has submitted a WARN with the Ohio Office of Workforce Development. The letter was received on December 17, 2019. It explains that the company will be closing the distribution operating unit at its Dayton auto care facility next year.

The facility is located at 2800 Concorde Drive in Vandalia, Ohio. The facility is expected to close on February 28, 2020. The entire distribution operating unit facility will be closed and all employees in that unit will be impacted.

The auto care manufacturing operating unit will remain open. It is anticipated that the closure will be permanent. The employee layoffs are expected to begin on February 14, 2020 with separations being completed by February 28, 2020. In total, 59 workers will be laid off.
