This week, Falcon Transport Co. submitted three WARN notices with the Ohio Office of Workforce Development. The letters explain that the company intends to carry out three layoffs throughout the state of Ohio. The first closure is set to impact the company’s operations at 365 Victoria Road in Youngstown. A lack of sufficient funds is being cited as the reason for the closure. As a result, 52 workers will be laid off. The closing and separations are expected to take place on or after April 27, 2019.
The company has also made it known that it will be closing another Youngstown operation. The operations at 4944 Belmont Avenue in Youngstown will also be closing due to lack of sufficient funds. 49 employees at that facility will be laid off. Finally, Falcon will be performing layoffs in Lorain, Ohio. The facility at 5953 Baumhart Road in Lorain will also be closing due to a lack of funds. At this location, 61 workers will be impacted.
