Last month, Union Pacific announced that it would be laying off 195 workers in Portland, Oregon. On May 31, 2019, Harry’s Fresh Foods submitted a WARN notice with the Oregon Office of Workforce Investments. The letter explains that the company will be permanently closing its entire Portland, Oregon facility.
The facility is located at 17711 NE Riverside Parkway in Portland. The Harris Soup Company, which is doing business as Harry’s Fresh Foods, will close the facility permanently on August 9, 2019. The company anticipates that it will be laying off 195 workers on August 9, 2019.
These workers are not represented by a union. They will not have bumping rights. The full WARN notice can be read here.
