HM Dunn AeroSystems is a leading provider of aircraft components, kits and assemblies. According to the company’s official website, it recently operated more than 300,000 square feet in St. Louis, Missouri, Wichita, Kansas, and Euless, Texas. On November 16, 2017, the company filed a WARN notification with the Missouri Division Of Workforce Development.
The letter served as notification that the company would soon be closing its St. Louis Machining Division facility. The facility is located at 1252 South Vandeventer Avenue in St. Louis. The closure is expected to be permanent. The company has decided to discontinue operations at the location and consolidate the work into facilities located in other states.
As a result of the upcoming closure, the company will also be permanently eliminating 53 positions. 14 are salary positions, while 39 are hourly positions. The company expects the employee eliminations to begin on January 28, 2018 and to be finished on or about March 31, 2018. The St. Louis Machining Division it not unionized.
