53-year-old Pablo Vega-Ontanon has pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute one kilogram or more of heroin. Vega-Ontanon is an illegal alien from Mexico residing in Georgia. He and two co-defendants arrived in Gulfport with the intention of selling heroin on November 6, 2018.
They ended up selling drugs to a confidential informant. The defendants claimed that ten kilograms of heroin were hidden in their vehicle. A short time later, all three were arrested. Detectives tested the drugs. It was found to contain one kilogram of fentanyl and nine kilograms of heroin.
