On October 24, 2019, IMI Precision Engineering submitted a WARN notice with the Ohio Office of Workforce Development. The letter explains that the company, which is the manufacturer of IMI Norgren products, will be closing its Brookville, Ohio facility.
The facility is located at 325 Carr Drive. It is expected to close at the end of May of 2020. As a result of the facility closure, the company will be laying off workers. The layoffs are expected to begin on January 17, 2020. There will be 2 additional layoff periods on March 13, 2020 and May 29, 2020.
The site is expected to close completely by the end of May 2020. In total, the company expects that 109 workers will be laid off permanently. Those employees are not represented by a union. Therefore, they will not have access to bumping rights. The full WARN can be found here.
