The Kah-Nee-Ta Resort and Spa is located in central Oregon on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation. The resort was first started by a non-Indian doctor who owned the land around the hot springs. The Tribes purchased the land in 1961. This week, the resort submitted a WARN notification with the state of Oregon. The letter explains that the resort will be laying out workers and closing permanently.
The resort is located at 6823 Highway 8 in Warm Springs, Oregon. The resort will be permanently closing on September 5, 2018. Employee separations will begin on the same date. As a result of the closure, 146 employees are expected to be laid off permanently. The full WARN notification can be found here.
