This week, Keystone Peer Review Organization submitted a WARN notice with the Ohio Office of Workforce Development. The letter explains that that organization learned that an anticipated award for continued services to the Center of Medicare Services would be delayed. KEPRO suspects that more than 50 employees supporting the contract will be impacted. 100 of those workers reside in Florida.
Two notices have been issued to affected employees. Temporary or permanent layoffs are expected to take place on or around May 11, 2019. The company has received a 30-day contract extension for some, but not all, of the contract services. Therefore, it will move forward with terminating the employment of roughly 150 workers on June 7, 2019.
