During the past week, several companies have announced layoffs in the state of Ohio. On January 17, 2018, Dover Business Services submitted a WARN notification with the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services. The company explains that it will be carrying out a mass layoff at its Hamilton, Ohio facility on April 20, 2018. The impacted facility is located at 9393 Princeton Glendale.
The company believes that the mass layoff will be permanent. The majority of the employees at the facility are expected to be impacted on April 20, 2018 and June 1, 2018. None of the workers ae represented by a labor union and none have bumping rights. In total, Dover Business Services anticipates that the layoff will impact 48 employees.

On January 19, 2018, Kmart submitted a WARN notification with the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services. The letter explains that a change in business circumstances had led to the decision to permanently close Kmart Store #03555. The score is located at 61690 Southgate Parkway in Cambridge, Ohio. The entire store will close and employee separations are expected to occur on April 8, 2018 or within the 14-day period starting on that date.
The company currently believes that the closure will result in the permanent separation of roughly 88 employees. None of the workers are represented by a union and none have bumping rights. The full WARN notification has been made available here.
