Leadec Corp. had submitted a WARN notice with the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services. The letter explains that the company intends to perform a mass layoff at its Warren, Ohio plant. The impacted facility is the GM Lordstown Assembly plant located at 2300 Hallock-Young Road.
The layoffs are expected to take place between May 27 and June 7, 2019. The layoffs are the result of GM’s decision that certain contractual services would no longer be required. The employees are represented by the United Automotive Works Local 1112. Besides hourly bargaining employees, employees will not have access to bumping rights.
