Leadec Corp. has announced that it will be laying off workers at the GM Lordstown Assembly plant located at 2300 Hallock-Young Road in Warren, Ohio. GM notified Leadac that its contractual services would no longer be needed as of March 8, 2019. As a result, the company intends to lay off 73 workers.
63 of the workers are represented by a union. 10 are not. The planned layoff is expected to be permanent. The entire GM plant will not be closed. The layoffs will occur on or around March 8, 2019. Further details can be found here.
