ORBIS aims to help companies move their products safer, faster and more cost effectively using an assortment of reusable plastic pallets, totes, dunnage and bulk systems. The company strives to protect its clients’ products, while improving the supply chain flow. ORBIS Corporation has submitted a WARN notification with the Ohio Office of Workforce Development. The letter explains that the company will soon be closing its Perrysburg facility, due to business needs and a reorganization of operations.
The facility is located at 348 5th Street in Perrysburg. As a result of the decision, 105 employees will be laid off. The letter explains that the employee separations will begin on October 1, 2018 and conclude on December 31, 2018. The layoffs are expected to be permanent. Some of the employees are represented by the International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agriculture Implement Workers of America, UAW Local No. 12.
