This week, Parthenon Metal Works submitted a WARN notification with the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development. The letter explains that the company carried out a permanent layoff on October 31, 2018. Layoffs took place at two company locations. Workers at the company’s 1106 Davidson Street facility in Nashville were impacted. Workers at the 5018 Murfreesboro Road facility in La Vergne, Tennessee were also impacted. In total, 46 workers were laid off. The company notified the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development on October 31.
The impacted workers are not represented by a collective bargaining agreement. Therefore, bumping rights do not exist. The full WARN notice can be found here.
