Last week, Robert Bosch Battery Systems LLC submitted a WARN notification to the Ohio Office of Workforce Development. The letter explains that the company’s Springboro, Ohio facility will be closing in the near future. The impacted facility is located at 50 Ovonic Way in Springboro. It is anticipated that the associated layoffs will be finished by July 31, 2019. All positions at the facility associated with the company will be permanently eliminated.
In total, it is believed that roughly 68 associates will lose their jobs. Permanently laid off associates will receive severance according to the company’s standard severance policy. Some may be reassigned and others may quality of open positions at other Bosch locations. 42 of the employees are represented by a union. Further details can be found here. Keystone Tailored Manufacturing LLC filed a WARN notice with the Ohio Office of Workforce Development last week.
The letter explains that the company will be permanently closing its Brooklyn, Ohio plant no later than March 11, 2019. The plant is located at 4600 Tiedeman Road in Brooklyn, Ohio. The majority of the employees will most likely be separated from their employment on March 11, 2019. A few will remain for a short period to help with the plant’s closing. In total, it is estimated that approximately 140 workers will be permanently separated from their employment.
