Sky TV Launching Sky Sports Mix On August 24

The mass media company, Sky (LSE: SKY), has just announced a brand new addition to their portfolio. The company, which is based out of London, operates within the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Austria, and Ireland. In 2015, the company claimed to have 21 million subscribers and employed over 30,000 individuals. The company Sky Sports channels have proven to be very popular and incredibly successful. The company’s latest, Sky Sports Mix, will follow in suit with the current formula for Sky Sports.

The channel is expected to provide access to free events, including football, Netball, F1 and game changers. As soon as the channel is launched on August the 24th, Mix will reach over 17 million viewers each year, which will fall in line with Sky Sports New HQ’s current viewer count. The new content will be available on channel 407 to those that have Sky’s basic package. The first live sporting event to be broadcasted on Sports Mix will be England’s cricket competition against Pakistan.

The channel will also provide viewers with access to content from across Europe, as well as the United States. Aside from live sporting events, the channel will also host documentaries and sporting related entertainment shows. And Sky subscribers will be able to access the content on the go through the network’s TV service, Sky Go! For additional information, be sure to check out SkySports’ official website here.
