Social Security Employee Charged With Making False Statement To Get Low-Income Housing Subsidies

On Friday, it was announced that a 31-year-old social security employee was charged by Bill of Information with making a false statement to the government. Perneita Price of New Orleans is charged with falsifying affordable housing applications in order to quality for low-income housing subsidies. The defendant faces a maximum of five years in prison and a following three years of supervised release.

Price will also face a fine of $250,000. At this point in time, the defendant is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
